A nativity scene with some of the saints who inspire me and individuals who made a significant part in my life and who continuously encourage me to keep on in my journey.

I asked a friend to draw a personalized nativity scene. A nativity scene inspired by some saints present in the scene particularly St. Francis and St. Therese of the Child Jesus.

In an account of St. Francis’ life he told his friend why he desired to create a nativity scene in his town, he wants all those who would look at it to remember the many inconveniences the Christ Child would endure in that humble manger in a stable in Bethlehem.

This nativity scene is illustrated with some of the saints who inspire me. Also present in the nativity scene are some of the individuals who made a significant part in my life and who continuously encourage me to keep on in my journey.

The words in the banner are the first words of the responsorial chant from the Matins of Christmas, “O magnum mysterium, et admirabile sacramentum” translated as, O great mystery, and wonderful sacrament and “et Verbum caro factum est” and the Word was made flesh.

May this nativity scene remind us that there is a God who dwelt among us to fulfill his redeeming plan for all of us and continues to do so through his great mystery and wondrous sacrament.

I pray that the eternal Word, who took flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and came to dwell among us, will show us, his unworthy people, the greatness of his love and mercy. May the great mystery and the wonderful sacrament remain with you forever.

Thank you very much Kevin Angelo Eguia for this wonderful work.
